Frozen Pork Sparerib
The ‘pork sparerib’ came from the German Rippenspeer which literally translates to “spare ribs,” as this cut was traditionally roasted on a spit or spear. In English, it became rib space and eventually sparerib. Spareribs are cut from further down the side of the pig near the belly, reaching down toward the breastbone.
